Describe the occupation. This person fixes, cars, trucks, or motorcycles.



Person A. Describe the occupation. Ask your partner who it is. Wait for her answer. Tell her if she is right or wrong.
1.     This person fixes cars, trucks, or motorcycles.
3.     This person brings you your food in a restaurant. Who is it?
5.     He is the one you pay in a store or restaurant. He operates (uses) the cash register. What’s his occupation?
7.     This person cooks food in a restaurant. Who is it? 
9.     This person cleans tables in a restaurant. What is his occupation?
11.   This person cleans offices and businesses (not homes).  She takes out the garbage, vacuums, and cleans the bathrooms. Who is it?
13.   This woman sews/makes clothes in a factory. Who is she? 
15.   This person cleans your house (not your office or business). Who is it?
17.   This person washes dishes in a restaurant. Who is it?

Person B. Describe the occupation. Ask your partner who it is. Wait for her answer. Tell her if she is right or wrong.
2.     This person has a farm.  He grows vegetables or fruit.  Maybe he has some cows or chickens, too. Who is it?
4.     This person works in a factory.  Maybe he assembles (=puts together) cars, TVs, or computer parts.
6.     This person is a tooth doctor. She cleans your teeth. You go see her when you have a toothache. What’s her occupation? 
8.     This person takes care of her children. She cleans the house, buys the food, and sometimes pays the bills. Who is it?
10.   This person cuts or colors your hair. Who is she? 
12.   This person fixes broken things—maybe TVs, maybe washing machines, maybe computers. What do you call this occupation? 
14.   This person delivers things to your house—for example, pizzas or newspapers. What is this occupation called?
16.   This person writes the stories you read in the newspaper. Who is it? 
18.   This person does women’s fingernails. Who is it?
